-
- DATEIT is a versatile date/time stamping utility. You can select and
- configure the format for the date/time displays! In addition any of the modes
- selected can be displayed in the "Refresh" mode on the screen! Options include
- centering, tabbing, AM/PM or 24 hour displays and swapping of date and time in
- the order of printing. The following is a list of command line options allowed
- by "DATEIT":
-
- DATEIT v1.0ß - Imagelock West Communications/Alan Apollo

- └ /RF - Display w/Update Selected Mode Only!
- /IN - Important Program Information
-
- Most of the command line options are self-explainitory. The following is more
- specific information for the use of "DATEIT".
-
- DATEIT may be placed in your /DOS directory....so that it may be used as a DOS
- command if desired.
-
- WRITING TIME AND DATE TO FILES
- ------------------------------
- Once the specific display has been selected and formated it will be written to
- a file called DATEIT.DAT if the /F: option is not used. Please note this file
- is overwritten every time the program is called. Using the /F: option you may
- append the date/time info to an existing file without erasing its contents.
-
- DATEIT /L /CT /F:C:\DSZ\DSZ.LOG
-
- The above example will use the "L"ong time/date format centered and append the
- info to the file "DSZ.LOG" please note that if the file does not exist it will
- be created. Using the "/SPnn" option you can specifically place the time/date
- string on the line. The program will print "nn" spaces before the string.
-
- OTHER COMMAND LINE OPTIONS
- --------------------------
- The /ND and /NT options remove the date and time repectively, from the display
- and /24 will display the time in military format. "/SW" will reverse the date
- and time positions in the output string and /CT will center the output!
-
- The /RF or "refresh" option will output the time/date string to the screen and
- remain there as a "updating" clock display until a key is pressed. No really a
- valuable option, but it is 'cute'!
-
- NOTES:
- -----
- As this is a "beta" version, I would be very much interested, in your comments
- or suggestions for more options! I most likely will add a /CM to tag a string
- onto the time/date stamp for writing events to logs and also will add a switch
- to have the /RF option write the string to disk when a key is pressed.
